Emily Swallow

Emily Swallow (born December 18 1979) is an American actress. She is most famous for her role in The Mentalist's Kim Fischer and Supernatural's 11th season as Amara the Darkness. She also played the Armorer in Star Wars' live-action series The Mandalorian. Emily played one small part in The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born on December 18, 1979, in Washington, D.C. She was raised in Sterling, Virginia and Jacksonville, Florida. Swallow began acting while at Stanton College Preparatory School. Additionally, she was a part of professional and amateur theatre productions. In 2001, she graduated with a BA in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Virginia, and later pursued an MFA in Acting at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.Swallow started her career in Broadway theatre which she acted in various productions, including High Fidelity, King Lear, The Taming of the Shrew, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at the Guthrie Theater, Much Ado About Nothing for Shakespeare in the Park, as well as the world premieres of off-Broadway shows Romantic Poetry and Measure for Pleasure.In 2008, Swallow made her film debut in the military drama The Lucky Ones. She performed in the world premieres of Donald Margulies' play The Country House at Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse as well as in a duet with Mark Rylance in Louis Jenkins The play Nice Fish at the Guthrie Theatre, and also in John Patrick Shanley's musical Romantic Poetry at Manhattan Theater Club. Swallow won the Falstaff Award for best Female Performer in the year 2010 for her performance in Kate in The Taming of the Shrew.In 2012, Swallow and fellow singer/comedian Jac Huberman devised a stage show called Jac N Swallow that they staged in New York at the Laurie Beeckman Theater and Joe's Pub. The show is about their hilarious mishaps as they deal with very various life situations.
