Kaitlyn Anne Vincie

Kaitlyn Anne Vincie (born December 10, 1987) is an American journalist and sportscaster. As a reporter for Fox NASCAR, she presents on their news and update program NASCAR Race Hub. Vincie was initially interested in stock car racing after she received a pit-lane pass. She later graduated from Christopher Newport University and worked as a reporter at Langley Speedway. She gained attention after her own videos of her blogs about NASCAR were released on stock car racing website SceneDaily. Vincie was born on the 10th of December 1987, in Harrisonburg, Virginia, and was raised in Bridgewater prior to moving with her family to Warrenton in the year Vincie had entered high school. She is the daughter and granddaughter of John Vincie and Margaret Vincie. Vincie's grandmother Eleanor N. Logan (a fifth-grade teacher) was her maternal grandfather who was part of Bridgewater College's faculty. Journalism was something she'd always had an interest in from an early age. Vincie completed her studies at Fauquier High School in 2006. Vincie competed in track-and-field competitions and was a manager for the school’s wrestling team for four seasons. She won the 800m event at the AAA Cedar Run District. Vincie was introduced to Al Pearce, a journalist who mentored her and provided Vincie lots of advice. In 2010, she graduated from Christopher Newport University with a bachelor's in communications. Vincie was an intern in the athletics department at the university, and also worked with the USAR Pro Cup Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Vincie wrote a senior dissertation about auto racing gender disparity that focussed on Danica Patrick, a woman race car driver. She began to become interested in the sport after receiving a pit lane pass to the NASCAR All-Star Race. She names Krista Voda and Wendy Venturini as her inspirations.
