Rashida Jones
Rashida Jones was the younger sister of
media mogul, producer, musician Quincy Jones and actress Peggy Lipton. Kidada
Jones is her older sibling. Five half-siblings are born from her father's other
relationships. Her father is African-American . her mother is Ashkenazi Jewish
(a descendant of emigrants from Russia and Latvia). Rashida was born into
Reform Judaism. She was born in Bel Air Los Angeles, California. Jones stated
that Jones had mixed race parents who did not suit her in the 1970s. Jones first
professional acting experience was in The Last Don (1997) A mini-series based
on Mario Puzo's novel. Rashida was also a Harvard University graduate in 1997.
In 1997, she attended the Buckley School, Sherman Oaks, California. She was
awarded the Most Likely to Succeed Award. Arabic (O+O'UO O(c)) is her nickname.
It is the word for "Major", adult, grown-up and wise. People

Niece of Robert Lipton. Her romantic partners include Josh Hartnett and Charlie
Hunnam. She was a singer in a Tupac Shakur tribute track, which was written by Kidada
Jones, her sister. Kidada as well as her brother Quincy Jones III composed the
song. Quincy Jones III, their father, also appeared in the intro, singing
Shakur's lyrics "Starry Night". The poem was the source for the
song's title. Rashida's dad is African-American but also has smaller quantities
of English, Scottish, and Welsh and Scottish family ancestry (some of his
African ancestral ancestors came from the Tikar people of Cameroon). Rashida is
Ashkenazi Jewish, of Russian Jewish and Latvian Jewish descent. Her maternal
grandparents are from South Carolina and Mississippi. Her maternal grandfather
was born in New York, and her maternal grandmother was born in Dublin, Ireland,
of Eastern European Jewish origin. By the end of 2009, she had played three different
characters, including "Karen", on the classic sitcoms on television:
Freaks and Geeks (1999), Stella ((2005) and The Office ((2005)).
