Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel Sfer is an American actress.
She is best known for her appearances on American daytime television, as well
as occasional guest appearances on television and made-for-television films. In
1995, Sofer received a Daytime Emmy Award for her performance of Lois Cerullo
in the soap drama General Hospital. Since 2013, she has appeared as Quinn
Fuller on the CBS soap drama The Bold and The Beautiful. Sofer was born in
Arcadia (California) to Susan Sofer and Martin Sofer. Martin Sofer is a Conservative
Rabbi. Her family then moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, until the time of
divorce of her parents, [citation neededshe moved with her father and brother
David to Teaneck, New Jersey, in 1970. They lived in Western Pennsylvania when
Sofer was five years old. They lived in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, where her
father was the director of Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She later attended the
Frisch School in Paramus, New Jersey, which is a coeducational Mordern Orthodox
Jewish high-school. Sofer grew up in North Bergen where her father was the
rabbi of synagogue Temple Beth El. She graduated from North Bergen High School,
then attended classes at Montclair State College. Sofer began her career as
Lois Marie Cerullo on General Hospital. She first appeared in 1993 as a manager
for a group. Her first role on television was that of Rocky McKenzie, a daytime
soap hosting host. Perhaps her most famous role is that of Lois Cerullo, a
nurse on General Hospital from December 15 in 1993 to September 24 in 1996.
Then she appeared on the series as a guest-star (February 7, 1997 - September
30, 1997; October 2 1997 October 2, 1997 - October 2 1997). Sofer was
recognized with an Daytime Emmy Award 1995 for Outstanding Supporting
Artistress in a Drama Series for her performance as Lois. Sofer was asked to
join CBS the soap show The Bold and the Beautiful in the newly created role as
Quinn Fuller. Her first episode aired on the 12th of July. Sofer has appeared
as a guest actor/supporting cast member in a number of high-profile primetime
television series, including Seinfeld and Melrose Place. Her debut episode
aired July 12.
