She was born in Chernivtsi on the 14th of August 1983. Her father Mark Kunis is a mechanical engineer as well as a taxi driver. Kunis has an elder brother, Michael. Her parents were Holocaust survivors. Her mother tongue and the popular language of the family is Russian.
