Watts was born 28 September 1968. She made her debut in film in Australia in
For Love Alone (1986) that was followed by three tv shows: Hey Dad.. (1990),
Brides of Christ (911) and Home and Away (1991) and Flirting (1991). Watts was
an unsuccessful actress when she first came to the United States. She acted in
films with a small budget and then was a professional actress. She gained
international recognition through this character. Watts played the part of an
unmotivated journalist in The Ring, a horror film remake. The film was
nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance as a
grief-stricken mother in Alejandro film 21 Grams (2003). She continued to rise
in the spotlight with her performances in I Heart Huckabees (2004) and King
Kong (2005) as in Eastern Promises (2007) and The International (2009). Watts
was nominated for an Academy Award as Best Actress for her performance in The
Impossible (2012). She starred in films such as Birdman (2014) St. Vincent
(2014) and While We're Young (2015). Watts was also a regular actor in
blockbusters and appeared in the Divergent franchise (2015-2016).
